On 22nd March 2022, Cyprus Marine Club hosted an event created and moderated by Muriel Matta who is a Club member and the Founder & Owner of Maravilhosa.
The event was a panel discussion entitled “LIFE REDEFINED: A HOPEFUL POST- PANDEMIC FUTURE”. The invited panellists were : Ms. Genia Boustany, Director - Poseidonia Beach Hotel/ Ms. Eleni Kaloyirou, CEO - Hermes Airports Ltd;/Mr. Andreas Mylonas, Managing Partner - Mylonas Law | AMG Mylonas & Associates LLC; /Mr. George Papanastasiou, Managing Director - VTT Vasiliko Ltd;/Mr. Dieter Rohdenburg, CEO - Intership Navigation Co. Ltd.
The above panelists were engaged in a fascinating discussion, sharing their thoughts on the effects and changes brought about by the pandemic, as well as challenges and trends we might see emerging in the near future. After the panel discussion, a Q&A between the panelists and the audience enabled additional ideas being brainstormed and a conclusion by the moderator, highlighting key points to remember from the discussions.
Capt. Koch has welcomed the moderator and panellists and guests and expressed his happiness with seeing so many members despite the high number of covid cases in Limassol and also among our members.
President welcomed and thanked members and sent special words of appreciation to the Club’s annual sponsors thanks to whom the Club can keep up the highest standards of events.
The President shared membership numbers (132 on the day) and announced the next events on 19th April – a Cyber Security presentation entitled : Cyber Pirates: a real danger by Tototheo Maritime, a presentation by Arribatec Marine on 24th May 2022 and finally it was decided to hold AGM / EGM, Election and Annual CMC Dinner in July (date to be announced soon).
