Cyprus Marine Club has reached 100 members!

Cyprus Marine Club held a fascinating presentation by Mr. Mark Hadfield / Founder and CEO of Water Flow Technologies Ltd. entitled: “Type approval under revised IMO guidelines for BWMS, the new bench mark.”
The presentation touched very compelling, hot topic in shipping industry and stimulated a vivid discussion among members of the Club afterwards.
Flow water Technologies Ltd., headquartered in Cyprus, is one of the few dedicated Ballast Water Management Engineering firms in the world. The firm was established by first class engineers and maritime organisations who bring a wealth of shipping expertise in water treatment sector.
Flow Water Technologies is the manufacturer of Flow Safe – innovative and compact ballast water management system developed by dedicated and highly regarded marine engineers with over 25 years experience.
The company is producing a Carbon Neutral BWMS. The system protects our Environment through treating invasive species, not creating toxic residue, using no wasted plastics and also saving fuel to be Carbon Neutral.
Mr. Mark Hadfield, Founder and CEO of the company, using the skills and experience gained over many extensive engineering careers has lead the team through R&D Phase and now into Type approval Phase.
President of Cyprus marine Club, Capt. Eberhard Koch, welcomed the members with his opening speech. He updated guests with the membership figures which now reached 102 members and congratulated MIE Services on becoming the number 100!
In regards to Flow Water, he especially pointed out the essential and amazing fact that this company is CYPRUS BASED Ballast Water Manufacturer.
In closing Capt. Koch encouraged all Members to attend the 4th Annual General Meeting of the Club taking place on 21st May, 17:30 hrs.
After the presentation all guests were invited to raise any questions and then rich buffet was offered at the Home of Marine Club, Epsilon.
