Anastasios Leonburg is 53 years old, has over 20 years of experience in the global shipping industry, including 10 years as a seagoing officer and Master Mariner in the Merchant Marine. He has held command positions, gaining valuable maritime expertise.

Anastasios graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Elsfleth, Germany, with a degree in Engineering in Maritime Transport.

After his time at sea, Anastasios worked as a Cargo Superintendent in the heavy lift and project cargo segment, focusing on consulting and loss prevention. He then moved into project management, managing marine spreads in the renewable energy industry.

During a towing operation where he served as Tow Master, Anastasios encountered colleagues from Allianz Risk Consulting. This encounter led to a career change, and he transitioned to Allianz in 2014, where he has currently employed since 2014 as a Marine Risk Consultant based in Hamburg, Germany.
