On Saturday, 19h October, C.M.C.L Cyprus Marine Club Limited was one of 40 participating associations and organizations in the THALASSA 2024 Festival at the Multifunctional Seaside Park at the Limassol Pier.
The Club participated in THALASSA for the second consecutive time to raise awareness, especially among young people, about the Club, the shipping industry, and employment opportunities in the maritime sector.
The Festival was inaugurated by the Shipping Deputy Minister- H.E. Mrs. Marina Hadjimanolis, Limassol Mayor – Mr. Yiannis Armeftis as well as Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy of Greece- H.E. M. Christos Stylianides.
Visitors had a chance to see vessels from the Navy, Port and Marine Police, Department of Fisheries and Marine Research.
Addressing the press conference, H,E Mrs. Marina Hadjimanoli thanked the 40 organizations taking part and said the aim was to cultivate a maritime and marine culture in society and promote the sea as a way of life.
The festival wrapped up with a concert by Kostas Maravellias at the Old Port Square at 8.00 pm.
