We are delighted to invite you for our next “Get together” on 17.09.2024 @ 18:30 @ Gazebo Mare:
“Past, Present And The Future Of The Mission To Seafarers”
Revd John Attenborough, Regional Director, Middle East and South Asia & Chaplain to the Cyprus Ports will delve on the Past, Present and Future of the Mission to Seafarers.
The Mission to Seafarers provides help and support to the 1.5 million men and women who face danger every day to keep our global economy afloat. Limassol is one of 200 ports in 50 countries where Mission chaplains, staff and volunteers care for seafarers of all ranks, nationalities and beliefs. We offer practical, emotional and spiritual support to seafarers through ship visits, drop-in seafarers’ centres and a range of welfare and emergency support services.
John is amongst the most experienced port chaplains of the Mission to Seafarers and has served with distinction in Mombasa, Antwerp, Tilbury and Medway, Southampton, and now Cyprus. Throughout his ministry, John has demonstrated a strong commitment to seafarers’ welfare, as well as building and leading dynamic volunteer teams.
We look forward to seeing you all as
