- Capt. Koch is the Chairman, CEO and Partner of Oesterreichischer Lloyd Shipping Group.
- He received his diploma in Nautical Sciences (Dipl-Naut.) at Hochschule fuer Nautik in Bremen (University of Bremen) in 1974.
- Capt. Koch has extensive industry experience as a Captain, Manager and Owner. From 1977-1984 he served as Manager of Transport / Business Admin for VEBA OEL AG Group (nka EON); from 1984-2001 he was Managing Director at Krohn Shipping Group in Vienna.
- Capt. Koch joined Oestereichischer Lloyd as a Partner in 1991 and became Chairman and CEO in 2001.
- Member of the Board of Cyprus Union of Shipowners.
- Capt. Koch is a Member of the Advisory Board of CCS Mediterranean.
- Capt. Koch is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Cyprus Maritime Academy.

Mr Chrysostomou is a seasoned professional in the shipping industry. He holds an MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) and graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, with a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding.
Mr Chrysostomou, in his long-standing career, before joining Tototheo Maritime as CSO and Marine-Fields Holdings as CEO, was the Director of the Department of Merchant Shipping, (the Maritime Authority of Cyprus), CEO of Transmed Shipping Co. Ltd. And Act. Secretary-General of CLIA Europe.
He also held senior management roles in fields such as safety and security, protection of the marine environment and administration. He also served as the elected Chairman of the Design and Equipment Subcommittee of the IMO and the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC). He was twice elected and re-elected Chairman of the International Mobile Satellite Organization and served as a member of the Board of Governors of the World Maritime University (WMU). He also served as President of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMAREST).
Mr Chrysostomou currently is serving as the Executive Director of the Clean Shipping Alliance.

Michael Filippou is the Chief Executive Officer of the Cyprus Union of Shipowners, acting as Policy Adviser to the Executive Committee. After completing his Army service, he moved to Athens where four years later, in 2002, he graduated as a Maritime Economist from the University of Piraeus.
After a short working period at Piraeus, he moved to New York where he earned a Master’s Degree in “International Transportation Management” from the State University of New York. Further to that, he earned a Graduate Certificate in Charter Parties.
The main area of his expertise is Risk Management related to shipping companies and International Maritime Policies.

Born in Famagusta County, Cyprus on 23rd November 1962. He graduated in Commercial Operation of Shipping at the City of London University and I joined Zela Shipping Co Ltd – Operation Department, (London-based Company), in January 1988. He has further enhanced his education in Shipping by successfully completing the professional qualifications of The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and The Chartered Institute of Transport. He was elected a full member of The Chartered Institute of Transport in 1993 and a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in 1995.
He was appointed to the Zela Shipping’s Board of Directors in 2002 where he served until the end of August 2014. In September 2014 he was assigned the responsibility by the Principals/Shareholders to manage the newly formed Ship Management Company in Limassol, Cyprus under the name of: “Olympia Ocean Carriers Ltd”. He commenced duties on 1st September 2014 in the capacity of C.E.O (Chief Operating Officer), responsible for the safe management and operation of seven (7) vessels dry bulk carriers’ Cape Size type of 170,000 – 180,000 metric tons and three (3) dry bulk carrier Kamsarmax type of 82,000 metric tons.
Member of the Cyprus Maritime Academy Board of Governors since April 2016. Member of the Board of Directors of the CMMI (Cyprus Marine & Maritime Institute) since July 2019.
President of the Famagusta Shooting Club and since January 2016, he has been elected and currently serving with the Committee Members and President of The Cyprus Shooting Sport Federation. A board member of the International Shooting Federation FITASC since July 2017.

Born in Cyprus, Mr. Thrasos Tsangarides studied marine engineering and sailed for several years before continuing his studies in petrochemical engineering.
He continued his studies in Scotland and the UK and has been awarded an MBA in leadership and sustainability with several published research papers. During his professional career, he served the maritime industry in various positions.
Since 2000, he has been the founder and CEO of a group of companies; with headquarters in Cyprus and offices in Greece, Russia, U.A.E. and Singapore.
Mr. Tsangarides served as a member of the board of directors of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, he is the Chairman of the International Association of Ship Repairs, and Former Vice President of the Board of Cyprus Port Authorities as well as a member of various professional, financial and academical bodies.

After completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Commercial Operations of Shipping in London, Anna started her career in marine insurance in 1987, for two major London Lloyd’s broking firms.
In between insurance postings, Anna worked in shipowning and ship management companies in Cyprus and in 1994, she co-founded Aphentrica Marine Insurance Brokers Ltd, where she is currently Director and responsible for the development, placement and servicing of the company portfolio.
Anna is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber since 2015 where she also chairs the Marine Insurance Committee and through the Chamber, she is a member of the Marine Insurance Committee of the International Chamber of Shipping. She has previously served as Chairwoman of the Public Relations Committee of the CSC while also being a member of several other committees. She is the President of WISTA Cyprus and a member of the advisory board of the Department of Maritime Transport & Commerce of Frederick University.
As a panelist or guest speaker, she is frequently invited to address several shipping seminars and shipping-related conferences.

With a Master's degree in Sociology from the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Lodz, Poland, Julia embarked on a journey that blended academia with hands-on experience.
Her career began in 2002 as a Social Studies Teacher at IV Gymnasium in Lodz, Poland, setting the foundation for her passion for education and community engagement. In 2004, Julia made Cyprus her home, transitioning to a new chapter of professional growth and personal exploration.
Since 2007, she has served as a Management Assistant at Oesterreichischer Lloyd Seereederei (Cyprus) Ltd., where she has had the privilege of supporting Captain Eberhard Koch in navigating the dynamic waters of the maritime industry.
In 2018, Julia was honoured to be elected as the Secretary-General of the Cyprus Marine Club, a position I proudly held from 2018 to 2020 and then re-elected in 2020 and 2022.
After restructuring the Club, in July 2024, she was appointed a General Manager of the newly established C.M.C.L Cyprus Marine Club Limited.
The role has allowed Julia to play a pivotal part in fostering connections, driving initiatives, and contributing to the vibrant maritime community in Cyprus.

Lazaros is the Managing Director of Mare Magna Shipmanagenent Ltd, a newly established shipping company in Limassol. Within this role, he is passionate about recruitment, training, and the long-term nurturing of sea-going personnel, their welfare and well-being.
Before that, he was a Managing Director of an international ferry company as well as an elected Board Member of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber.
He is currently serving on the Board of the Cyprus Marine Club and is looking forward to continuing to offer his services to the local shipping community via the CMC. It is his honor to support the purpose and goals of the Club, including the promotion of the interests of Cyprus Shipping to further the reputation of the Cyprus flag, as well as protecting the interests of its Members, both nationally and internationally.

Mr. Kapoor has an engineering background with a degree in Marine Engineering from DMET (1977 – 1981), Calcutta, a leading university in India. Mr. Kapoor was relocated to Cyprus in 2007 to set up the Fleet Management in Cyprus.
Over the years, Mr. Kapoor has risen through the ranks of Fleet Management to his recent role as the Director of the Company’s Cyprus operations. During his tenure with Fleet Management Limited, Mr. Kapoor has been actively involved in all aspects of Technical Management. He has also been involved in new building supervision of Reefers/Container vessels/Chemical Tankers in Japanese and Korean Shipyards.
In 2015, FML Ship Management Limited was awarded the International Investment Award, CIPA, which was presented to Mr. Kapoor during a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace. Mr. Kapoor retired from FML Ship Management on 30th Sept 2023.
Mr. Kapoor is a member of the board of Governors of Cyprus Maritime Academy affiliated with the University of Nicosia. He is also a board member of the Cyprus Marine Club in Limassol and Vice President since 2022. He was a board member of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber from 2021 to 2023. Mr. Kapoor sits on the technical committees of all the major Classification societies.

Mr. Meyering joined Marlow Navigation in 1989, serving in various senior positions while specialising in crew management. He also spent five years in total working in crew management at Marlow’s Hamburg and Rotterdam offices.
Now with over 37 years of experience in the shipping industry, Jan Meyering is a leading figure in the global crewing sector. At Marlow Navigation, he focuses on all matters concerning crew and ship management at the company, business development and customer retention, as well as crew training matters throughout the Marlow network.
Jan Meyering graduated as a shipping merchant from the Bremen College for Shipping and Transportation.

After completing her studies at UMASS Amherst, Massachusetts Elpida started her working career at the Insurance and Documentation department of CSM Limassol for 10 years. Elpida then relocated to London where she joined Steamship Mutual’s Underwriting department in 2013 and dealt with a wide variety of underwriting matters. Elpida was repatriated to Cyprus in 2021 and currently works as the Underwriting Director of Steamship Mutual’s European P&I Club, which is based in Limassol and underwrites about a third of the Steamship Group’s business. Elpida is a Board Member of the Cyprus Maritime Academy and sits on the Cyprus Shipping Chamber’s educational committee which seeks to encourage and increase young people’s awareness of the shipping industry. She has previously served on the Public Relations committee of the CSC and she is also an active member of WISTA Cyprus.
