Limassol, January 16, 2018– At “Home of the Cyprus Marine Club”, Epsilon, an amazing presentation was given by Managing Director VTT Vasiliko - Mr. George Papanastasiou entitled :VTTV turning Cyprus to an oil trading hub” followed by cocktail reception opened for Members and Non Members first time this year.

 

VTTI is one of the world’s leading energy storage brands which owns and operates 16 terminals in strategic locations, located across 5 continents with a combined capacity of 10 million m3.With its strategic location connecting trading areas of Southern Europe, the Middle East and Asia, deep water access, road tanker loading facilities, private single ‘T’ jetty with four berthing positions, approximately 190,000 cbm K1 / 350,000 cbm MD, VTT became the Mediterranean New Energy Hub (EUR 300 million investment).Currently 250 trans-shipments per year take place in the open sea around Cyprus. In 2016, 9.6 million metric tons were trans-shipped and the quantiy is expected to increase. Mr. Papavasiliou, a passionate devotee to the industry with his enthusiasm attracted great audience and sparked off vivid discussion afterwards.

After the presentation, The Cyprus Marine Club’s President, Capt. Eberhard Koch delivered a short address wishing everyone Happy, Healthy New Year 2018, thanking Sponsors-Bureau Veritas, UMAR WSR, OL Shipping, Tototheo and TMH Limited ad well as Members for their continued support. The Club is now consisting of 58 corporate and 12 individual members and the number is successfully increasing.
